College Archives Are Now Available!

The Library is pleased to announce a tool for locating materials in the College Archives. We now have in-depth finding aids, which will provide enhanced access to the Archives. The College Archives holds material that documents the College's governance and administration, its student life and cultural contributions, and the development of the College buildings and grounds.

Materials from the Archives collection are available for in-library use only, from 9am-4pm, Monday through Friday.

The Hays-Heighe House will be hosting a Salon event, Beauty in Sport: The Culture and History of Horse Breeding and Racing in Harford County on November 1st from 3:30-5:00pm. Admission is free and open to the public.

For the third year in a row, the Library and the Office of the Vice-President for Academic Affairs are recognizing College employees who have published or performed peer-reviewed scholarly or creative work. We congratulate these employees on their accomplishments. Copies of their work will be added to the Employee Publications collection in the Special Collections Room in the Library. The Library's online public catalog will be unavailable on July 30th as the Library upgrades to a new version of Polaris.  You can still check out and return books.  See the Reference Desk for assistance if you wish to look up library materials.

New Tutorials!

We have new and updated tutorials! "Library Catalog" has been updated to "Finding Books (Library Catalog)". Other updated tutorials include APA Basics and MLA Basics. Let's Talk About It: Making Sense of the American Civil War


Join us for two upcoming presentations on the Civil War!
   In a Stranger Place: Louisa May Alcott and other Concordians Respond to the Civil War, presented by Professor Colleen Webster, will be held on March 6th from 1-2 pm in the Student Center, room 243.
   Marching Through Maryland: Lee’s Campaign of 1862, by Dr. Thomas Clemens, will be held on March 8th from 6:30-8 pm at the Harford County Public Library (Bel Air Branch).
   These events are part of the “Let’s Talk About It: Making Sense of the American Civil War” series, made possible through support from the National Endowment for the Humanities, the American Library Association, and the Maryland Humanities Council.
