Holiday Raffle!

Beginning on December 1 and ending on December 19, the HCC Library is sponsoring a Holiday raffle. The lucky winner will receive a festive basket filled with Bomboy’s chocolates, valued at $40. To enter, you must visit the 2nd floor of the library. Free entry forms will be at the Reference Desk. There is a limit of 1 entry per person. The winner will be notified on December 20.

How Many Challenged Books Have You Read?
It’s national Banned Books Week from 9/25 - 10/2. How many challenged books have you read? Take the quiz to see the 20 Most Frequently Challenged Books of 2000 - 2009, and check the box next to every title you’ve read to determine your reader type. All entries are eligible to win a Banned Book Week tote, with a limit of 1 entry per person. The drawing will be held on October 26. You can access it alphabetically or by the subject heading, "Education." Faculty, you can also access it via our Faculty Services page. The Chronicle is published every weekday and is the top destination for news, advice, and jobs for people in academe.

Poetry Board
April 1 marks the start of National Poetry Month. To mark the occasion, we have a Poetry Board on the left fabric panel by the second floor stairwell. Anyone from the campus or county community is invited to post original poems or poems of another author, and submissions can be typed or written (on 8.5" x 11" or smaller).
