HCC is Talking about the Civil War

HCC has been awarded a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the American Library Association to host a series of book discussions. The series is called “Let’s Talk About It: Making Sense of the American Civil War.” It will feature dialogue on different aspects of the American Civil War.

James Karmel, Ph.D., Associate Professor of History, will lead the conversations based on March; Crossroads of Freedom: Antietam; and America's War: Talking About the Civil War and Emancipation on their 150th Anniversaries.

HCC is partnering with the Harford County Public Library, the Spirits of Tudor Hall and the Historical Society of Harford County to present these discussions, which will take place in March and April 2012. Mark your calendars now to talk about the Civil War with HCC and Dr. Karmel!
