Herbert Block Exhibit @ HHH

The Hays-Heighe House is hosting a traveling exhibit on the works of Washington Post editorial cartoonist Herbert Block. Stop by 9/16 from 1-6 PM for the opening! Use twitter? Tweet about the exhibit and use the hashtag #herblock . Exhibit ends 12/13!

Banned Books Week (2011)

We are joining the American Library Association to promote awareness of challenges to library materials and to celebrate freedom of speech during Banned Books Week. Banned Books Week occurs from 9/24 through 10/1. We are extending our celebration through the end of October though.

Constitution Day (2011)

For Constitution Day (9/17), HCC Library has put together a quick presentation about the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights. Check it out!

Win a Basket of English Treats!

Enter a free drawing to win a basket of delicious English treats. To participate, visit the HCC Library's 2nd floor. The basket (valued at $32) is on display in the showcase on the right, which is devoted to the 2012 Winter Session trip to London. Entry forms are located to the left of the case. There is a limit of one entry per person. The winner will be announced on September 15th!
